The Whackey Hat (formerly the Wacky Hat) is the last campout of the season. It used to be held in Vermont and it used to rain every weekend. In a fit of PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome) the attendees started "crafting" hats out of whatever they could find. Soon judges were recruited to decide the "best" hat.

The Whackeyness continues at the beautiful Taconic State Park at Capoke Falls NY. Campout under gloriously tall pines, or buddy up in a cabin. Bring your own vitals to cook over the open fire, or walk down the street to The Taconic Wayside Tavern for anything from a burger, to a beautiful steak, or Gourmet Italian cooking.
