Jamaica Campout! (Wacky Hat) is officially cancelled!

The Wacky Hat back at Jamaica Rally is officially cancelled! After a long day of watching the weather channel, talking w folks in the Vt State Park system and senior members of the YB administration, we felt this is the best decision we could make with the info we have at this point in time.

The weather in eastern Mass is predicted to be bad and with the potential wind and tree damage we don’t want to encourage traveling. The forecast for western MA, CT, VT and NY looks much better.

Understand the club shells out several thousand dollars for every event with reservations required, 10 months ahead in this case. We are still in a cancellation refund period and we are asking for a full refund. We have a 30 year relationship with the VT parks system at two locations, we will apply the refund to next years rally.

We did not make this decision lightly, we have never cancelled a camping event that I am aware of.

Answers:
Paid attendees through PayPal or other will be reimbursed.
Gold Card holders will get some deal going forward,… paid 2027 membership and $5 in your pocket is a great option!

The storm is expected to hit SE Mass hard with a much better forecast for Ct, western Mass and even Jamaica Vt! We usually have southern Jersey and WNY attendees who would be enroute, sorry Mike, love the hat!

Now, if you feel the need to go, have fun and hang out in a dry lean-to as we often do, pease do but you are on your own! To help the sting send Jim a proper receipt from Jamaica and he will reimburse you for the campsite.
